Tournament Regulations
1. Laws of Chess - The FIDE Laws of Chess shall apply.
2. System of Play
2.1 The tournament shall be a 3 round, team round robin, for boys and girls separately.
2.2 Each match between teams shall be played over four boards with the following board order according to age restriction:
1st board player under 16 (born after 1/1/1993)
2nd board player under 14 (born after 1/1/1995)
3rd board player under 12 (born after 1/1/1997)
4th board player under 10 (born after 1/1/1999)
The reserve players (one per team and federation) can play only according to their age. This means that a 16 years reserve can play only in 1st board also a 10 years reserve can play in any board.
3. Time Control
3.1 All moves in 90 minutes plus 30 sec per move from move one.
4. Scoring
4,1 Each team`s place in the order of classification shall be decided by the number of match points it has scored (2 for win, 1 for draw and 0 for loss).
4.2 Tie-breaks
If any teams finish with equal match points, the tie-breaking procedures, in sequence proceeding from (a) to (b) to (c) to the extend required are:
- by the sum of match points between the tied teams (direct encounter)
- by the sum of game points achieved in tournament
- by the sum of the game points scored in 1st board, in 2nd board, in 3rd board and in 4th board to the extend required
5.1 Appeals Committee
Before the beginning of the tournament an Appeals Committee shall be elected among the team captains and delegates.
